In addition to the existing shot blasting chamber at the powder coating plant, we launched a new chamber, which has the advantage of its capacity and direct connection to the wet paint shop. This is a so-called “passage chamber”, which allows the entry of shot blasting elements on one side and removal from the other directly to the paint shop. This solution completely eliminates the possibility of exposing the extruded elements to atmospheric agents. The whole process from the moment of receiving the elements to the shot blasting, through painting and drying takes place under (one) roof.
Another important advantage of the new shot blasting chamber is the possibility of placing large elements of dimensions up to 4m x 16.5m x 4m (W x L x H). Thanks to that, the surface preparation for applying anti-corrosion coatings on structural elements, not in the commonly used shot blasting machines, is not a problem for us. It is also worth to pay attention to specially designed road lanes, which allow a TIR car to drive directly into the chamber, so that we are able to shot parts weighing more than 20t.
